This problem involves doing the cross over calculations like the example on top of page 287. You do not have to draw the charts as illustrated in figure 7.3. For question 1, simple multiplication to get the solution. For question 2, do not solve this problem by multiplying each option which is a longer process of solving it. Use the shorter process of cross over analysis as illustrated in the textbook and in slide 26. If you use the longer process, you will receive a zero points for question 2. For question 3, use the data you completed in question 2 to answer the question. No additional calculations are required. You simply apply the numbers to the ranges you developed in question 2 to answer the problem. Again, if you use the longer process, you will receive zero points for question 3. Please follow the examples. If you do not understand the examples, ask a question in the virtual office or set up an appointment. Another example of how to do the cross over calculations is “Solved problem 7.1 page 300.” This problem should take approximately 15 – 20 minutes to complete.
